ABOUT

A calm day that pulls toward your goals

Journail is a small, independent product with one job: turn ambition into a quiet daily rhythm, instead of another tool shouting for your attention.

Who builds Journail

Journail is built by Tomaž Pernovšek, a solo founder. There is no growth team, no roadmap dictated by investors — just one person who wanted a calmer way to run a demanding day and decided to build it. Being small is the point: it keeps the product honest, focused, and easy to reason about.

The problem it solves

Founders, leaders, and other high achievers rarely struggle for lack of ambition or tooling. The gap is in the day-to-day: the long-term goals live in one place, the calendar in another, the task list in a third — and the connection between them quietly erodes. You end the week busy but unsure whether any of it moved the things you care about.

Journail closes that gap by being an AI daily planner and journal in one. In the morning it drafts a focused plan in about five minutes, drawing on your yearly, monthly, and weekly goals, your tasks, and your calendar. In the evening, a short reflection becomes your journal entry for the day. Tasks link back to goals, so daily work stays aligned with where you are actually trying to go.

The philosophy

Most productivity software competes for attention with notifications, streaks, and badges. Journail aims for the opposite: a calm surface you visit briefly, twice a day, that pulls you toward your goals rather than pulling you back into the app. The AI assistant speaks in plain language — you tell it what your day looks like, and it helps you plan and reflect without ceremony. The daily rhythm is the product: plan, do, reflect, repeat.

The principles

A journal is a private place, and Journail treats it that way. Your data is stored on a database hosted in the EU, and your content is never used to train AI models. The assistant works with your words to help you plan and reflect. These are not afterthoughts — they shape how the product is built.

Questions

Who is behind Journail?
Journail is built by Tomaž Pernovšek, a solo founder. It is a small, independent product rather than a venture-backed team, which is why it can stay focused on a single idea: a calm day that pulls you toward your goals.
Why does Journail exist?
High achievers rarely lack ambition or tools — they lack a quiet daily rhythm that connects each day to what actually matters. Journail exists to plan a focused day in about five minutes in the morning and to close it with a short reflection in the evening, so progress compounds instead of scattering.
What does Journail do with my data?
Your data is stored on a database hosted in the EU, and your content is never used to train AI models. The AI assistant helps you plan and reflect, but your journal and goals stay yours.
Do I need other apps to use Journail?
No. Journail works fully standalone. If you prefer, you can connect Google Calendar and Todoist with one click so your plan reflects what is already on your schedule and task list, but neither is required.

If a calmer, goal-aligned day sounds like what you have been missing, try it.
